Gastro Foods is a family business and was started in 1995.
The business developed into a major force in the manufacturing of meat and allied products for the catering and hospitality industry in South Africa.
In the modern factory in Parow Industria they produce a large variety of specialities in the true European tradition.
Under the "Ricomondo" label a comprehensive array of cold meat products are produced.
Their meat curing facilities, engineered by a Company from Milan, has just been enlarged substantially. There they produce a variety of Salumi Products such as Salami, Coppa, Pancetta, Prosciutto, Lombo, Salametti, Salaminis as well as Bresaola, Black Forest Ham, cooked and smoked Hams, Pastramis, Carpaccios etc.
Gastro Foods also specialize in a complete range of veal and lamb cuts and produces a large choice of European style sausages.
In addition to that they are representing Chalmar Beef in the Western Cape.
Gastro Foods is one of a few manufacturing companies which are ZA approved.
